I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Miami, and live in Brooklyn with one plant and no pets.
I graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in journalism and sociology, and interned at the Chicago Reader, Radar magazine, New York magazine, and Esquire, before starting my career at Esquire in digital.
I love horror movies, psychosexual thrillers, all William Faulkner and Toni Morrison novels, '90s hip-hop, and pimento cheese.
Who I am
I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Miami, and now live in Brooklyn with one ZZ plant that is constantly on the cusp of death.
I graduated from Northwestern University with a double major in journalism and sociology.
Before working at Business Insider and Esquire.com, I was an intern at the Chicago Reader, (the old) Radar magazine, New York magazine, and Esquire.com.
In my writing about pop culture, I've interviewed everyone from Mick Jagger to Aisha Tyler.
I love B-movies, aging pop stars, and lamb in any form.
